Like the size and feel of the Motorola PEBL cell phone, comfortable to use despite the funky keypad. Have had some problems with freezing and the cell phone shutting down by itself. Returned the phone for a replacement and the replacement cell phone is even worse. It will shut itself down and will not turn on again for hours. A nice looking cell phone but this thing is going back. Would not recommend. Would like to throw it like a pebble and see how many skips I can get with it.

The Motorola PEBL is one of the best designed phones around. This phone really needs to be held to be fully appreciated, and once you do, you'll be hooked. I was initially drawn to the PEBL for it's style-I like the fact that it's different from every other cell phone design. I was a bit skeptical about making the plunge though, but now I'm glad I did. Coming from a Nextel i870, I'm so happy with how easy it is to use this phone with a Mac. To transfer ringtones or wallpaper with the i870 required the use of a PC, a slow, buggy transfer with a cable, and general unpleasantness. The PEBL plays well with my Mac-transferring ringtones, wallpapers, and videos is as easy as drag and drop with a bluetooth connection, and it's fully supported by Apple's iSync for quick, painless syncing of contacts. As far as reviews that talk about the interface, if you've ever used a Motorola cell phone, you'll know what you're getting. But a few minor quibbles with the menu structure are quickly forgotten when you hold your PEBL for the first time. Highly recommended!

I don't know if it is just a 2 year advance in technology since my last cell phone or the different carrier or just this phone, but this PEBL works great. I had become acclimated to a light background hiss with my old unit and this one's crystal clear reception took a little getting use to. The only learning curve I encountered was adapting to the flat keypad; which also shows fingerprints & smudges but cleans easily. This is one neat looking cell phone and its exterior texture is delicious. I've mastered the one handed flip open feature with my right hand but still struggling with the left.

The Pebl looks sharp and opens nicely and makes a good paper weight after that. I kept getting insert sim errors and the it would shut down. I would power it up and I would get searching for network with my newphew's Nokia, same network, would have 5 out 5 bars of signal sitting right beside the Pebl. The battery lasted about a day with few or no calls made.

I love this cell phone a lot. The design is a cross between oo7 Bond and Star Trek. I`m very impressed with the design and the call quality. It can fit into your pocket with ease and the feel of the phone is smooth and very suave. The people at Motorola definantly have a head for design and sex appeal when it comes to this phone. It`s not as slim as the RAZR,Of course it`s not too far from being slim. But it is much smaller than the RAZR,this phone is sleek and sexy and whoever has issues with it really needs to reevaluate their points. There is hardly if any flaws with this phone. It`s not perfect but it`s sure as hec almost there.

Initially I was stoked on this phone. Great design. Opens like no other phone. Feels good in your hand and against your ear. However, just like expected from a Motorola phone, there are quite a few things that are annoying or outright messed up. First of all, the operating system is written by a 12-yr old computer hacker. I mean why can't they buy a Nokia and see what a real menu should look like. Or even a Sony Ericsson. Once you use this phone you will know exactly what I'm talking about. Second, the battery life is laughable. It cracks me up to see that people think that this phone lasts a long time. They probably never had a phone made by another company. I've recharged it a few time already, and I still haven't got more than a day and a half of usage. And I don't go crazy on it either. A few calls a day and maybe one picture. Last but not least, this phone has a bug. At random, it will decide not to ring or vibrate when you get a call or message coming in. The screen lights up, but nothing else to indicate you need to pick up the phone. It is more than annoying. It has made me lose many important calls already. And no I don't have it on silent, or anything like that. I'm not a retarded user. I know what I'm doing with these sort of gadgets. Now one thing I suspect is that this is related to Bluetooth use. Seems to me that after I use this phone with a Bluetooth headset, and even though I disconnect properly from that headset, the ringer or vibrator will not work. I have to power the phone off and then on to make the phone work properly again. Ok, here are my 2 cents on this beautiful piece of garbage. I got it for free (after rebates) so I am not going to go kill myself. But if I'd paid $350 for this phone I'd be pissed.
